In the autumn of 1950, the master sausage makers of Kotivara got hold of a recipe for a Russian-type salami that had travelled from St. Petersburg to Finland. It proved to be excellent, and they started making Russian salami the very next year. Its meaty flavour and lovely seasoning have made it the Finns’ favourite salami.
This economic and ample pack is also favoured by hikers and other holiday-makers, for example.

Pork (EU), horsemeat (EU and outside EU), pork fat (EU), salt, sucrose, spices (coriander, black pepper, mustard seed, white pepper), spice extracts, dextrose, antioxidant (E316), hydrolyzed vegetable protein (maize), vegetable fat (rape seed oil) and preservative (E250). 100 grams is made from 127 grams of meat. The country it has been reared and slaughtered in is indicated for each meat. High in sodium.
